Financial & Legal Secretariat's Office Welcome to the Financial & Legal Secretariat's Office. The Office maintains
managerial oversight over the Financial & Legal Secretariat. Listed below are some of the main
operations of the Office:
Coordinate strategic plan for the Financial & Legal Secretariat. Monitor operations of all Offices within the Financial & Legal Secretariat. Maintain Secretariat accountablity by reporting to the Bishop and the Diocesan Financial Advisory Committee. Represent the Diocese on significant fiscal and legal matters. Maintain key strategic fiscal and legal relations with all entities within the Diocese of Cleveland. Maintain fiscal stewardship for the Diocese of Cleveland. Maintain Diocesan internal controls. internal and external Diocesan Organizations in every task we perform.
We will strive to understand our internal and external Diocesan Organizations and

We will respond promptly to Diocesan Oranizations requests including providing a
time line for our response.
We will create a culture that emphasizes Diocesan Organization service by periodic
Diocesan Organization service training for all associates.
We will use voice mail, e-mail, etc. as tools for enhancing
Diocesan Organization services.
We will serve as proactive advisors by providing guidance on
financial matters throughout the Diocese.
